It works by limiting the conversion of Testosterone into estrogen and the average rate of estrogen suppression is 85%. The drug also reduces the estradiol levels of about 50%, as well as considerably increases the tesosterone levels.

Therapeutic Indication

Is used in ER-positive breast cancer in addition to surgery and/or radiation in post-menopausal women.It is often given to women whose cancer has progressed even after surgery or radiation.
